About Everything and Anything

Well, I started my own blog because I wanted to be able to come here and express my thoughts and let everyone see what’s going through my head. I never liked to write until I came to college and I knew I had to get better at this. When I stumbled upon the idea of creating my own blog I thought "Why not".

Before I came to college I was extremely nervous and scared at the same time because I had no idea what to expect for me but honestly I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else. I am so blessed with everything that I have. My classes have been amazing so far and my teachers are the best. College has brought out the best in me. I’ve really noticed what’s really important and what’s not so important to me in life. As a new college student I’ve noticed I’m on my own for certain things. I’m the one making dinner, washing my clothes, cleaning my apartment and I can’t forget paying bills now. None of this is fun by any means but I will admit its extremely nice being able to be on my own but yet being able to go home and see my family is the best feeling in the world. Ever since I left for college I’ve noticed a totally big difference with how well my siblings and I get along. Just like other siblings we used to argue but now we get along so well and I absolutely love it! We still do have some arguments but it’s nowhere near where we used to be.

Now besides all the homework that I get assigned, the test and quizzes I have to study for, I still manage time to go find an hour a day or maybe more than that to go work out. If I didn’t make time to do this every day then I’m really not sure what I would do. This is my stress reliever. Working out for me is something I have to do. As you all know since I’m a freshman I’m supposed to gain the “freshman 15”. Not a chance for this girl. I’ve really noticed to watch what I eat because I want that healthy lifestyle. I’ve been trying to lose a couple pounds to be honest with you all.

One big thing that I’ve really noticed to keep in college is my faith. It amazes me how people say that they are Christian and their faith means everything to them but yet I see them going to parties and drinking and even doing things that they shouldn’t be doing. I’m sure they do have one but it doesn’t seem like it’s that important to them. Nothing means more to me than keeping something I love and it makes me see what kind of life style that I want to have. I noticed having a little devotional in the morning can change my outlook on the day. To lots of college student I’m not living the “College Life” and I guess that’s how I was raised. Don’t get me wrong I love having a great time but I know where to draw the line at and I know I have God to thank and of course my parents.

On that note this is one of my favorite verses to live by and I hope you all like it.

I can do all things through him who gives me strength. -Philippians 4:13
